Introducing Verified Flights: Prove Your Adventures on Airport Code Quest

Trust, but verify. That's the philosophy behind our newest feature: Verified Flights. Now you can prove your flights are real by linking them to FlightAware flight tracks.

Verified flights add a layer of authenticity to your logbook entries. When you add a FlightAware track URL to a flight, we automatically verify that the flight details match — tail number, departure airport, arrival airports, and flight date. If everything checks out, your flight earns the verified badge.

Verification happens automatically for most flights. Some flights may be reviewed manually to ensure accuracy.

Once verified, your flight earns a special badge. On quest pages, airports you've visited with at least one verified flight show a blue shield icon with a checkmark — distinct from the standard green "Visited" badge. It's a mark of authenticity that shows you really were there.

Airport Code Quest is built on the honor system. Pilots log their flights, and we trust they're being honest. That works well for personal tracking, but as more pilots join and compete on leaderboards, having a way to verify flights adds credibility to the community.

Verified flights are optional. You can still log flights without FlightAware URLs, and they'll count toward your quests just like before. But for pilots who want to prove their adventures, the option is now there.

Next time you log a flight, find it on FlightAware and add the track URL. Your verified checkmarks will start appearing on quest pages immediately.
